Sex and the City Night

Last weekend I visited my friends in Austin for a little shopping, a little Sex and the City, and a little merriment in general! We had a great time! The movie version of the series was actually better than I anticipated and almost drew tears during some of the dramatic scenes, definitely drew tears for the funny scenes. True to form, the moral of the film reflected the moral of the series--true love is unconditional love. After the movie, we walked about 20 blocks down to the Ranch bar and had a few drinks before our chairs were taken out from under us (standing room only), which made us decide to limp back to fourth street with freshly formed blisters and some serious swamp a@*--it had to be 90 degrees and about 100% humidity. We spent the rest of the night at Gruv, lounging in the cool darkness, being entertained by some professional poppers/beat boy dancers, and laughing at the typical tomfoolery of drunkards. As usual, a wonderful time with my wonderful friends!
